Pictures were taken with a Nikon AF-S 300mm f/4D IF-ED lens with a Kirk NC-300 replacement lens collar mounted on Nikon D80, with D80 and lens mounted on Induro C213 carbon fiber tripod with Markins M10-L ballhead. Exposures ranged from f/5.6 ISO 100 1/3200 sec for the upper left and lower right pictures (start and end of eclipse), to f/4 ISO 2500 1/3 second, for darkest images, variable in between. All pictures were taken with D80 shutter release delay option selected (D80 menu custom setting 31 locks up mirror for 0.4 second before releasing shutter), and with camera internal image sharpening turned off. Exposure time was restricted to a maximum length of 1/3 second, to prevent image smear caused by the earth's rotation rate (0.28 second/pixel).
